NOTA Weighs In On Beyonce’s New Album “Renaissance”
NOTA Weighs In On Beyonce’s New Album “Renaissance” When it comes to someone who professes to be well-versed in everything, NOTA may be the first to enter the fray. Baloyi is always eager to offer his thoughts, particularly on music.
Following the release of Beyonce‘s album “Renaissance,” NOTA went on a rant throwing shades on the American singer’s project. NOTA claimed that there is no good song on Beyonce’s project and the only worse project compared to Renaissance is Drake’s Honestly, Never Mind that was released a few weeks ago.
“There isn’t a good song on this Beyoncé album… The only thing worse than this is that Drake House album. Let me play Tems EP instead!” Tweeted NOTA. Baloyi went on and accused Beyonce of exploring black women.
He tweeted: “Beyonce uses the support of the gay community to make up for stifling the careers of other black women in the industry… How many black women have had their music careers cut short or whose course was shortened to make way for the queen? It’s overdue, finally, Kelis calls her out!”
This is not the first time Baloyi has thrown shades at American artists towards their albums. Drake was also under attack from NOTA following the release of his album Honestly, Nevermind. NOTA hinted that Drake’s record is mediocre due to how it sounds. Baloyi continued by contrasting Drake’s project with DJ Maphorisa’s and Makwa’s sound on AKA’s song Energy.
“Look what Maphorisa did with a Camino Del Sol bootleg. How Makwa interpolated the chords progression from Spirit Chaser or how he set up Gemini Major with a classic on AKA’s Energy… Those guys will house you, literally give you hits that put a roof over your head. Drake missed!” Tweeted NOTA.
