The art of storytelling has existed since before recorded history, so it’s not strange that it has taken off in hip-hop culture. In SA hip hop, there are quite a number of rappers who have a massive story telling attributes in their raps but as it stand Mzansi has decided who their King is.
After being ridiculed for years, Priddy Ugly is finally recognized by South Africans as one of the top rappers in the country. The rapper’s popularity on Twitter increased as a result of mentions of him as one of the top rappers and lyricists.
Priddy has received criticism for having no flow throughout the years, but he has persevered and consistently disproved his doubters. This came after he dropped “30minutes to Soweto” a new lead single to his forthcoming EP ‘MUD.’
The rapper proceeded to Twitter to announce the track’s release, unaware that he was about to blow Mzansi’s minds with his pen game. “30minutes To Soweto – OUT NOW. https://ditto.fm/30minutestosoweto,” tweeted Priddy Ugly.
