NET Honours 2022: Nicki Minaj defeats Cardi B to win Most Popular Foreign Celebrity (Female)

Award-winning rapper Nicki Minaj has won the NET Honours Class of 2022 award for the Most Popular Foreign Celebrity – Female.
The rap star won the award against celebrities like Cardi B, Kylie Jenner, Rihanna and Kendall Jenner. This would be the first time Nicki Minaj would be winning the award against Cardi B who has won the category two years in a row.
Since she debuted in the rap scene, she has broken records as a female rap artiste and is showing no sign of stopping anytime soon. In 2021, she re-released her 2009 mixtape ‘Beam Up Softly’, which debuted at number two on the Billboard 200, becoming the highest debut for a female rap mixtape on the chart.
In 2022, Nicki Minaj also released a viral single, ‘We Go Up,’ featuring rapper Fivio Foreign.
Throughout her career, she has been a recipient of accolades, including eight American Music Awards, twelve BET Awards, seven BET Hip Hop Awards, four Billboard Music Awards, five MTV Video Music Awards, six MTV Europe Music Awards, and 10 Grammy Award nominations.
Nicki Minaj has also been nominated for the NET Honours Most Popular Foreign Celebrity Award – Female three times in a row.
