Taking to Twitter, Cassper expressed his excitement and he also thanked his fans for the support they have shown towards the show. “#TheBraaiShowWithCass is now SAFTA NOMINATED. I THANK YOU,” tweeted Cassper.

The Braai Show With Cass will be competing with Expresso Morning Show and After The Vows for the Best Variety Show category. AKA used to host the Braai show, but he was expelled after the death of his girlfriend, Anele Nelli Tembe, due to accusations and rumours.

Five months after the incident, Cassper Nyovest made the announcement that he will succeed AKA as presenter of The Braai Show. The show changed its name to The Braai Show with Cassper Nyovest, and the rapper now hosts guests like Somizi Mhlongo, Miss Universe 2019, Zozibini Tunzi, and DJ Sumbody, in addition to other friends.

AKA was involved in a legal dispute with The Braai Show’s property rights in August 2021 with MakhuduCom and Cake Media. He was granted ownership of 50% of the program by the court in March of this year. Now that Cassper has bagged his first ever SAFTA nomination it’s all down to the awards ceremony to see if he is going to win it.

Cassper’s achievements in the entertainment industry have inspired a lot of people even some of his peers. Recently, the Podcast And Chill host MacG revealed that Cassper has inspired him with everything that the rapper has accomplished in a short space of time. “What Cassper has done is amazing, he inspires me as well man, who would’ve thought dawg that you could fill up the Dome?” MacG said.
